The spirit and the cask<\/strong><\/p>\n

The raw spirit (New Make) is produced by Fary Lochan and distilled on our Forsyths copper stills. It is our spirit produced on Danish malt barley. <\/p>\n

The raw spirit (New Make) is filled into the 2 casks on the same day, so everything is identical \u2013 except for the raw spirit, which develops differently during maturation in the 2 different casks.<\/p>\n

The alcohol strength is 63.5% ABV at filling.<\/p>\n

The whisky<\/strong><\/p>\n

The whisky is bottled at FULL CASK STRENGTH!<\/strong> The alcohol evaporates slightly during storage, so we will not know the final alcohol strength until bottling. We expect around 58-60% ABV. <\/p>\n

These are two single cask whiskies that have matured for 5 years so far (filled in March 2020).<\/p>\n

We expect to bottle the whisky in spring 2030<\/strong> (when the whisky is 10 years old), if it is ready \u2013 otherwise later\u2026 It all depends on the final matured result!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Shares and yield<\/strong><\/p>\n

Each share consists of 3 bottles of 50 cl each. You can buy several shares if you want more bottles. <\/p>\n

We offer a total of 100 shares of each cask. We have thus also taken Angels\u2019 Share into account. <\/p>\n

You can advantageously buy shares in both 2 casks at the same time. Then you get 2 unique whisky experiences, and you also get a good twin discount. <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Storage<\/strong><\/p>\n

The casks are stored in the basement under Fary Lochan. Here are the perfect conditions for optimal maturation. The casks are thus also insured by Fary Lochan during maturation. <\/p>\n

If the casks are lost due to fire or theft or other heinous misfortune, we offer replacement of the casks and thus your share in a new cask.<\/p>\n

Proof of ownership<\/strong><\/p>\n

You get your own personal proof of ownership. This is your physical proof of your ownership share. <\/p>\n

We invite you to cask owner day once a year, where you get to taste the contents, pat the cask a little, feel the atmosphere in the basement and meet the other cask owners.<\/p>\n

Tax and VAT<\/strong><\/p>\n

Both the alcohol tax and Danish VAT are included in the price.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Labels<\/strong><\/p>\n

We use our own labels for the bottles, and these labels can be personalised to suit your share and bottles. We agree on this at bottling. <\/p>\n

Collection, shipping and packaging<\/strong><\/p>\n

The bottles can be picked up at the distillery after bottling.<\/p>\n

It is also possible to have the bottles sent within Denmark and for a fee.<\/p>\n

We have now found 2 exclusive casks<\/strong> that we offer in cask shares<\/strong>. And the unique thing about this is that both casks are filled on the same date<\/strong> (11 March 2020). Both casks are 1st fill ex-bourbon barrels from the same bourbon distillery<\/strong> (Buffalo Trace). The big difference is that one cask is filled with non-smoked New Make<\/strong>, and the other is filled with nettle-smoked New Make<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Being a cask share owner in Fary Lochan is your unique opportunity to own parts of an entire cask containing Fary Lochan\u2019s matured whisky.<\/p>\n

Each share in a cask gives you 3 bottles of 50 cl each, bottled at FULL CASK STRENGTH<\/strong>. You decide how many shares of the cask (3 bottles per share) you want to buy. <\/p>\n
